GES is a great school with a vibrant staff, active parents and engaged students. I will use this blog to share some of the exciting things that happen at GES. Please provide feedback, as we really appreciate it.

Blues Berries Entertain
The Blues Berries presented a History of Rock and Roll to our students, along with students from Langdale. It was an excellent performance and our students even got a chance to do some dancing at the end of the show. It was good fun.....and educational.
Relaxing weekend
We had a chance to get up to Whistler for Thanksgiving and had a relaxing weekend. We saw this furry creature while on a bike ride.
I hope that everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Weekend!

Busy Day
It has been a very busy day. The honeymoon is now over and the behaviour of some of our students is starting to slip. We encourage students to have respectful behaviour in all that they do here at GES. I also stress that I want all students to feel safe and cared for.
Most of the time a little reminder is all that is needed. In cases where the behaviour is ongoing the parents will be contacted and be made aware of the situation. We want to partner with parents regarding inappropriate behaviours-- it is important that we work cooperatively to change unwelcomed behaviours.
For your information we are still looking for parent volunteers to assist in microwaving lunches from 12:10-12:25 Monday to Friday. If you can spare time even a day a ewk that would be great. Please let Jackie know what day(s) you are available.
I will be heading out shortly after the bell rings at the end of the day, so I will not be putting up any more posts today.
Until tomorrow.
