GES is a great school with a vibrant staff, active parents and engaged students. I will use this blog to share some of the exciting things that happen at GES. Please provide feedback, as we really appreciate it.

Pancakes & False Alarm
Today Mrs. Sullivan's class made pancakes. Unfortunately, the smoke detector triggered the fire alarm and frying the pancakes had to wait.
Primary Assembly
Ms. Lawson led Ms. Taylor's class in their song for today's Primary Assembly. They did a great job! Bravo!!!

Ms. Duncan's Class Doing a Cold Read
Ms. Duncan's students were working on a cold read of a variety of comedies when I stopped by today. The students were fully engaged in the activity when I was in their class.

Another Awesome Day at GES
We had another awesome day at GES. The students are great to work with and the support of the families is unbelievable. I had an excellent Grade 4/5 Basketball Clinic after school today; the students are working hard and their skills are coming along nicely.
Ms. Duncan's class went curling this afternoon- they were looking forward to their venture to the Gibsons Curling Rink.
I also want to mention that we have two student teachers that are working with us for the next two months-- Danielle Lawson (SFU) is working with Ms. Taylor, while Sami Dixon (U Vic) is working with Mr. Sullivan. If your child is in either of these classes please stop by to say hello.
Have a wonderful evening everyone. Take some time to ask you child about some of the things they are learning at school.
Until tomorrow.
