Hockey Night in Gibsons
It was Hockey Afternoon in Gibsons, with Ms. Knecht's class playing a spirited match of road hockey. I was the honourary referee for this exciting event. The game was a reward for ongoing positive behaviour in their classroom.
The students had a lot of fun and enjoyed the great weather. Hopefully the weather will continue to make us smile all weekend.
Enjoy your time with you family & friends.
Until Tuesday.

P.S. Monday is a Pro-D Day.
Boys Volleyball Teams Success
Mr. Detwiller returned at the end of the day and informed me that our two GES teams will play each other for the Boys' Volleyball 'B' Championship. Since the tournament ran long, they decided to have our 'B' Final at GES in the next week or so-- we will keep you posted.
Good job boys! Thanks for all your support during the season Mr. D! I also want to thank the parents who helped getting the boys to their games this season.

Active & Attentive
Divisons 1 & 2 students were doing a circuit in the gym during their PE block-- the other half of the group was outside working on cooperatibe games.
Mrs. Knecht's class was utilizing the mobile computer lab when I stopped by. We had some glitches with the student data folder so I had to spend some time working on saving documents to a flash drive, before transferring the data to the student folder.
Until later.

Primary Choir
I had a chance to sing along with the Primary Choir, as they were practicing for their Christmas Concert this afternoon.
I had Mrs. Hoechstetter's class for PE after that. It was good fun-- we are doing a variety of ball activities, which the children really enjoy. I will be covering Mrs. Klan's class for PE shortly.
I look forward to hearing about the Girls" Volleyball Tournament. The Boys' Tournament is tomorrow at Roberts Creek-- I believe it is starting at 12:30 pm.
Until later.

Playing Hard, Having Fun and Having Success
I was able to get back to ESS for another game which was a nail-biter against Roberts Creek. The win was a good one for the girls who fought hard to keep the lead. We have had a high level of participation in the tournament, the girls have played hard, had a lot fun and had a lot of success.
Great job girls!
Tournament is going well

Puppets & Talent Show
We had several guests at GES this afternoon. There was a community based group that shared their puppets with Ms. Kranenburg's students. We also had some guests visiting the Talent Show in Mrs. Hoechstetter's class-- it is amazing the talent that these grade one students displayed. I was very impressed!
If your child is in one of these classes, engage in a conversation about what they thought of their day.
I have three different meetings after school today so I won't be blogging again until tomorrow.
Enjoy your evening.
