Primary Choir

Mr. Sullivan playing the role of a turkey.

Mrs. Klan teaching a new song.
Mrs. Klan organizes Primary Choir, which we have every other Friday.  The students were singing a Gobble Gobble song when I was in the gym-- "Turkeys  like Thanksgiving," was one of the lines of the song.  If your child is in K-3 you may want to ask them to sing it to you.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I hope that you all have a chance to spend some quality time with your families.

Enjoy the long weekend.

Until later,

Mr. H

Student PE Mentors

Ball Skills
I have had the opportunity to work with some of Mrs. Fitchell's class developing some leadership skills.  One of the things we are working on is helping out kindergarten students in a PE class.  Today was a great opportunity for them to practice teaching skills to each other and then try it out with the Ks.  They did a fabulous job!

Busy Day

It has been a very busy day.  The honeymoon is now over and the behaviour of some of our students is starting to slip.  We encourage students to have respectful behaviour in all that they do here at GES.  I also stress that I want all students to feel safe and cared for.

Most of the time a little reminder is all that is needed.  In cases where the behaviour is ongoing the parents will be contacted and be made aware of the situation.  We want to partner with parents regarding inappropriate behaviours-- it is important that we work cooperatively to change unwelcomed behaviours.

For your information we are still looking for parent volunteers to assist in microwaving lunches from 12:10-12:25 Monday to Friday.  If you can spare time even a day a ewk that would be great.  Please let Jackie know what day(s) you are available.

I will be heading out shortly after the bell rings at the end of the day, so I will not be putting up any more posts today.

Until tomorrow.

Mr. H
