Special Ed Audit & Getting Ready for Word Building

Ms. Carsky and Mrs. Murray have been working tirelessly to complete work on Special Ed files-- our School District is being audited and our Special Ed Staff has been putting in many extra hours to get ready for the audit.  The Ministry od Education audit begins on Monday.  Thanks to our Special Ed Staff for the great work that they have been doing!

Fog & Fun

Today's weather did not discourage our students from enjoying the outdoors at recess and lunch.  As you can see from the pictures, our students make the most of their free time outside.

Basketball practice gets underway for the Grade 5-7 boys today.  Staring Monday I will be running a basketball clinic for Grade 4 & 5 boys and girls (3-4 pm).  The updated schedule will be posted on the school calendar next week.

Have a good evening.

PE and Picaso

Leadership skills being developed in a K PE class.

Working on ball skills.

Picaso....?

Picaso influence.
After two kindergarten PE blocks, with the assistance of a leadership group of Grade 5 students from Mrs. Fitchell's class I had a look at some of the Art in Ms. Duncan's class.  They are using Picaso's influence for these art projects.  I have included more pictures on the Flickr Photostream.

Have a great afternoon and evening.

Welcome Back Mrs. Servos-Sept

After spending a year "Down Under" Mrs. Servos-Sept has returned to Canada.  We wish her well as she gets back into the routine here at GES.  All the best to Mrs. Sali, who has returned to Australia.

We look forward to an awesome 2011!
