Busy day of meetings....and report cards

I started the day with a meeting, I had our staff meeting after school and we have our PAC Meeting this evening. Meeting days are part of the job.....not my favourite part of the job, but it I do enjoy conversing with collegues and parents, but I really enjoy working with students, which is part of every day here at GES.

It is also report card time, so I am busy reading and signing report cards. It is really rewarding seeing the success stories as I work my way through the report cards.

I hope to see a lot of parents at tonight's PAC Meeting.

Making Math Games

When I visited Mrs. Fitchell's class this morning they were busy making Math games. They will be using the games with their classroom buddies.

They seem to be proud of their work, and rightfully so. Good job!!

Until later.

Canada Wins Another Medal

Canada won medal #4 of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympivs with Mike Robertson winning a Silver Medal in Snowboard Cross on Cypress Mountain!

What a great event when Alexandre Bilodeau received his Gold Medal last night!

Several of our students and staff have attended, or are attending some of the events or festivities associated with the Olympics. What a wonderful opportunity for those that have the chance to go over.

I was able to visit the Richmond O Zone, which is the celebration area close to the Olympic Oval. The atmosphere is fantastic and it is free to go and wander around and catch the spirit. I may go back next weekend when I drop off my daughter at the airport.

School has been busy with numerous things going on around GES and I have had little time to attend to my blog. For your information our Boys' Basketball Team will play a game at the GES Gym today. It was not a regular scheduled game, but I was able to invite Cedar Grove back to have another game today. The more games we can fit in the better.

Until later.
