Apple Sauce

Mrs. McGowan, filling in for Mrs. Klan, made apple sauce for the class this afternoon.  They forced a bowl on me.....lucky me, it was great!  Thanks Mrs. McGowan and class.

Soccer & Castles

At lunch today our intermediate students enjoyed playing soccer with the new balls (purchased with money from our recycling program), while our primary students took advantage of the weather to build sand castles along a river. The primary students were back in class by the time I got down to their creation.  Nice job boys and girls!

Juggling

Mrs. Hourigan's class had their first juggling lesson in PE today.  I have included a few pictures of this activity.

Ukes

The Grade four class was having their first ukelele lesson when I stopped by the music room this afternoon.

They were doing a great job!

Drama in Division 1: Ms. Kranenburg's Class

Ms. Kranenburg's class was doing a drama activity when I stopped by this morning.  The students were really enjoying this activity, which tapped into their creativity.

Reading & Math Patterns

I was in Ms. Moul's Grade One class where they read aloud. They then read to buddies including me. They were very proud of their ability to read.

I also stopped in on Mrs. Sali's Grade Three Class and they were working on Math patterns. The students did a great job sharing their knowledge to Mrs. Sali.

Busy Day Tuesday

I apologize for not getting to my blog yesterday-- it was a very busy day with an assembly, classroom visits, meetings with parents, a meeting with district staff, meetings with our staff and a Community School Meeting.....and yes a Principals' Meeting this morning.

I look forward to getting into various classes today, but I also have some Bill 33 Meetings with some of our teachers today.
