Math, PE, Science & Scrapbooks

Ms. Moul's students were trying to determine how many cubes were in her hand.  The lesson was excellent and students were able to determine answers by using their thinking of 5 +.

Ms. Kranenburg's class was playing scooter handball this morning.  It is a great workout for the arms.

Mrs. Kopeck's students were drawing pictures of a flower bulb; part of a science experiment.

Students showing me their favourite pages of their scrapbooks.

Remembrance Day Assembly

Elizabeth Livery sharing information about the significance of the poppy.

Our MC Robyn J.

Megan P. & Rebecca H reciting "In Flanders Fields."

The choir singing, Dona Nobis Pacem.
Today's Remembrance Day was excellent.  I was really impressed with our students leadership group and the role they played in the assembly.  The choir and band were both exceptional-- we should all be very proud of them.

Thanks to our all of our guests including: Royal Canadian Legion members, SD 46 representatives Tom Hierck  and John Pritchard, parents and friends of GES.  Thanks also to our cadets (Alana, Kelly and Gabe) who wore their uniforms and escorted our vets.

Thanks also to Mr. Angelus for the magic of music you help our students perform and also to Mr. Sullivan for technical assistance-- it is greatly appreciated.

If anyone taped the ceremony I would appreciate getting a copy of the band and choir so I could include this on my blog.

I trust that you will have a good evening.

Until Friday,

Mr. H

The Boy' and Girls' volleyball teams played Langdale in a mini-tournament today.  They seemed to be having a lot of fun!

Have a good evening.

Monday, November 8, 2010

Greetings!  Today was a busy day for me, as I had a variety of issues to deal with in the morning as well as overseeing our Destiny Math Program for our intermediate students.  I had a budget meeting at the SBO this afternoon.

I did get into a few classes in the morning but I look forward to getting into more classes tomorrow.

Hopefully everyone is adjusting well to the time change. Have a good evening.

Until tomorrow.

Mr. H
