Ms. Knecht's Class Biking

Ms. Knecht's class went biking around GES today. They seemed to be having a great time.

What a great day of weather!

I will post more biking photos on the Flickr Photostream.

Until later.

Music to My Ears

Mrs. Kopek's class was doing a great job learning a new song when I stopped by Music today. They sounded great.

It has been busy here at GES, with year-end activities along with completing assessments and report cards. We are almost finished with our NWEA assessments-- I have been very pleased with the results so far.

There is an SCTA Retirement gathering that I am hoping to get to later.

I trust that everyone has a great evening.

Until tomorrow.

A Mid-Summer Night's Dream

Ms. Duncan's Division 1 students did a great job with their Shakespeare play, A Mid-Summer Night's Dream. More pictures are posted on the Flickr Photosream-- enjoy.

Pirate Day in Mrs. Klan's Class

Mrs. Klan had her annual Pirate Day today-- the students did a great job with their songs and readings. I heard that the treasure chest hunt was quite an ordeal. Thanks for parents and family members who attended.

Until later.

Sun for Panorama

We had the school panorama photograph re-done today. It is a beautiful day and a wonderful day to have the photo taken, with Keats Island in the distance. I am quite busy with paperwork, including ensuring that our students grades 2-7 complete the NWEA assessment. This assessment is another measure that validates how well our students are performing.

By the way, the Yearbooks arrived today. There are only a handful of them for students that did not pre-order them-- they are $16 (cash) and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

I am sure that all of the Kindergarten students are enjoying their day at Davis Bay Beach. Thank you to all parents who helped Mrs. Griffiths and Mr. Sullivan with this.

I trust that everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

Until later.
